It was pretty straight-forward. I was in classic view Turned on the header
column navigation with vo-shift-backslash. then I could vo-right through the
subject date and the various column headings, route mouse with vo-command-f5.
Then I just put my finger on the track pad, pressed down and
Great, Would you please be so kind to outline the steps used to accomplish
this? How did you locate the columns on the track pad and how did you realise
you could move them, and what was the gesture used?

I physically moved them from my track pad. It took a little doing but once I
found the column I was able to move them.

I believe it is possible to re-order the columns. Maybe you could move the
message number after the subject or whichever is first.

Hi Teresa In standard view, what I do is interact with the message your on in
the messages lift. Then VO right to the subject line and once I've found one
that I'm interested in, I then open it up with enter VO a to skip all the
chatter and that way it just reefs the text. After this, I then

Hi all,
when I move through my list of mail messages, for some reason, only today,
sometimes I hear how many messages are in a conversation before the from and
subject. Anyone know why this is and how to fix it? It is very annoying as I
get a lot of mail and want to be able to go through it
The only solution I know of is to go to Mail preferences, check the classic
layout checkbox, then find the header of the message, such as the subject.
Then vO-down, and you will only hear that column spoken first. I haven't been
able to do this in standard view.

Teresa
