Hi Jeff, I have an incling that the exercise ring on the Apple Watch adjusts itself dynamically as it builds up a picture of what constitutes regular activity for you. In other words, you may very well be doing 30 minutes worth of exercise, but if that exercise doesn't look much more strenuous than what you'd be doing outside of exercise, the Apple Watch won't count it as exercise. It should still log a 30-minute work-out, but for it to count as exercise you would have to up your game. This is a continuous thing, as far as I understand it, and it's to encourage continual improvement. Matthew
