I just installed the App to my iPhone and it works quite well and is very
accessible.

Petrus is using a rather up to date device which is able to run 1gigabit speeds.
As is my own device.
But like anything including your list of possible reasons
We can include the limits behind or with our nations fibre connections
including each connection having a limit of I believe 25 users

Hi,
You can also download the SpeedTest app from the AppStore. It's free and
supposedly is more reliable for tests over 100 Mbps.

I cannot remember which of you folks was having difficulty locating the
“START” button on the Speed Test web site, but whomever it was (and, for that
matter, all of us) can always enable “Quick Nav” and then press the “B” key to
locate buttons including that ever evasive button to launch the

Simon and Tim, and Petrus,
I’m still not sure what the units are for this speed test. Since they only give
the numbers

Simon and Tim, and Petrus,
I’m still not sure what the units are for this speed test. Since they only give
the numbers, but no mention of whether they are megabits or megabytes.

Hi Simon,
Oops, sorry. Should have used proper abbreviations. Yeah, 268 Mbps this
evening. Bytes would be better, of course. This is on a WiFi connection.

Yeah, just what does Tim have that we don’t? 100T? F/O? Maybe I need to
complain to my cable provider to see what they can offer.

Hi,
It kind of depends on a number of factors. If doing this on an iOS device, it
may display slower results. On a Mac, it depends

Hi Dave,
3 Mb as you reported is quite slow,
Possibly you did get it mistaken
Or Tim confused bytes for bits vise versa.

Simon, I’m not sure if I reported the appendix correctly. I’ll have to go back
and do an actual copy and paste.

Hi Petrus,
If possible try the speed test using a wired connection rather than a wifi
connection
It can be different.

Bill,
I ran it also. My upload is only 3 Mbps and download 43 Mbps. Pretty pathetic,
compared to Tim. But we don’t pay for any upgrades on our cable, so that may be
typical.

Hi all,
Maybe I should explain myself. I think I got lost after I opened the link as I
was still in bed on a Sunday morning and I was using the iPhone. I will try it
again on the Mac today.
