If you jail break your IPhone, I believe you can then use your own mp3 files
as ring tones.
But I'm not sure how much jail breaking the device screws up the workings
for VO. It does in a few cases at least it did on a friend of mines device.
Some of his apps no longer worked correctly .

You can create ringtones using itunes for any song you purchased there. There
may, however be a restriction on creating them from your own music. Perhaps
someone will correct me if I'm mistaken.
