There's a great online service I use called OnlineOCR
(https://www.onlineocr.net). I don't do OCR enough to pay for software to do
it, and this you can pay for a number of pages and just upload your document
I am most pleased!
The service is frankly amazing...it even converts epubs, and creates mobi
files.

yes, if you follow the steps correctly.
If it is your first time, make sure your email service did not consider it
to be spam.
Sometimes, if the file is especially large, you will be sent a download
link, instead of an attachment.

Hi,
If you're running Monterey, try pressing VO-shift-l when focused on the image
that you want to OCR.

Lorie,
perhaps sending the file to the robobraille free convert service will
translate the file into a format you prefer.
their site is
www.robobraille.org
Where a list of file formats is provided.
The email is
conv...@robobraille.org
Where you place the desired format in the subject line.

Voice Dream Reader for Mac has a feature to OCR Pdf image files. I forget what
the option is called and in which menu it may be found, but I used it once or
twice.

You should be able just to download it and run OcR on your Mac if you have any
OCR software installed.
Sent from the first computer with built-in screen reader access for the blind:
