Another thought on the ssd fixing a slow macmini. The operating system had to be reinstalled too. Perhaps that was the source of the fix. An apple store will do that for free, or at least my local one does. You could do it yourself using the recovery method or download approach.. On Wed,

This raises a question, what does slow mean? Is it slow in loading apps. and otherwise responding or is it slow to bootup ? A ssd isn't going to make a difference to any large degree with usual app. functionality. I have a macmini the same model as your's. The harddrive went bad and I
