Your not going crazyit does it on my 8. All you have to do is plug in the
headphones and it will play no matter locked or on.
I looked for a setting and found none. What I did find is settings all over the
place.
You have to watch because you can change a settings from more than one location.

Possibly you have hit the play button on the wire of the headphones?
Of course assuming these are the type of phones you are using?
