Thank you very much. I did sort things out as I had too many passwords saved
for the website so I removed them all and started again and now it’s working.
I have an Mac mid 2020 so no Touch ID, just a British Apple keyboard with
keypad on it.
All the best,
Kawal.

If you ever need to copy the password manually, you can do so in Safari Preferences On 12/19/20, 20:49, "macvisionaries@googlegroups.com" wrote:Depending on the model of your Mac, you can also use the finger print sensor. Once you are on a user name edit field, Safari will give you the option to

Once you are on a user name edit field, Safari will give you the option to use
Touch ID. Put your finger on the sensor and it does the rest!

Also pressing command shift a while you are on the user name field will
automatically enter the username and password, if it is available. Another
method is to arrow down, while you’re in one of the fields and the suggested
passwords will also appear. and pressing return will except the choice.
There's a button on screen that VoiceOver reads as "Password." If you
press that button, a window will open with suggestions. Move to the one
you want and press RETURN to use it.
