hello; i was playing around with iMovie earlier. It confused me, but at least
everything seamed to be labelled which was a big improvement over the last time
i tried it. don't want to get real fancy just be able to record a video and
then trim off the ends. please keep me in the discussion.
It's available from Apple here:

It also enables basic editing so it might just be all you need.

I didn't see an answer to this question. Did you mean .wmv since you are
talking about video? .wma is an audio format. That said, assuming you
meant .wmv, you can convert after the fact using QuickTime Pro which
lets you open a video file and SaveAs .wmv format. Hope this helps.

Hello Mike. It looks like MirVideo will convert to the mac formats but not in
the other direction. It also appears that I have to drag the file in to get it
to work. This should be possible with VoiceOver but it doesn't look like this
converter is accessible.
Any ideas?

For my part, I would like to know whether it's possible for you to edit videos
much in the way we edit audio in apps like amadeus Pro. Any app that can let
us do that seems well worth considering.

Hello Mike and friends.
So, I am experimenting with iMovie myself for the last couple of days.
I managed to drag and drop video from finder in to the event fewer group, and I
am now able to play the clip. I am able to move within the clip using the up
and down arrows with the shift key.

Ok so here is a piece of a series that I did on iMovie. This is the way i
figured out how to trim clips. It is a little time consuming but I haven't
figured out a different way yet. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hay Mike, thanks for this.
I will play with it myself and I will let you know if I find anything more.
I think that may be possible to speed things up with a little Apple script. Who
knows.

I am sure that there has got to be a better way. I am not very good with apple

MACNETICOS,
Unfortunately there is not a way to do it in iMovie. Once your video is
published however you can convert it to any format you want with a program
called MiroVideo Converter.
If I remember correctly I got it from the App store and it is totally
free.

Stumbling block? You can buy iMovie and the other iLife apps individually in
