I’m updated on Mojave, and wondering why or when this bad behavior happens
when doing a spell check…

I don’t spell as I go - I spell check after pressing the Cmd-Shift-D combo. So
when I reply to a message, the previous message is below my signature block.
The spelling gets checked, but invariably will also drop into the message below
and start spell-checking it, as well.

It happens regardless of whether I compose in plain text or RTF. I’ve even
inserted extra line feeds after my signature, but no joy.

Some time in the past, this did not happen. I do have the option checked to not
check the entire message, but this seems to be ignored. any suggestions what
else to try, or if this is indeed something that change in Mojave along the way?
