my VLC is giving me a message under errors and warnings. it wants me to go into
system prefs and give it permission to access files and folders. I go to
Security and Privacy and the only thing I can find that seems related is full
disc access. there are no apps in the table and I don't know how
I like to random large file/folders of songs with VLC on my Mac. lately it's
been playing some songs more than once during several hours of play. is there a
way to tell it to play each song only once?

Whenever I stream audio in Vlc through an m3u playlist, the player skips ahead
to the next track in the playlist before the current one finishes playing.
What's going on here, and how can I fix this?
