Hi, It sounds like it's probably giving the phonetic reading of the characters. For example, it's probably saying l lima. I'm not sure if there is a way to turn off that phonetic announcing of the characters but can do some checking and get back to you. Hopefully this at least helps to

To explain, in iOS16, when I put a text message in character mode to read numbers, Voiceover will announce "cap L something". I can't understand what is announced after cap L. Can I turn this off so reading numbers is less confusing? Thanks. From E.T.'s Keyboard... "Alone we can do so
