Hey I use the Samnet Socializer at the University but when I use it, I don't
get an authorization request there. Only with Adium do I get an authorization
request. And that's cool about them fixing these kinds of issues in their new
version, I hope they'll also have contacts signing in and out

it is a known issue, they will hopefully fix it in their next release.
In the whiletime, you could use the webmessenger service.
