I am attempting to create a ringtone following the directions given in a guide
on the applevis website. I am stuck on the step where you have to get the
ringtone into iTunes. How can this be done? Normally, if I press either command
O or VO space, it opens the file and imports into iTunes.

Have you got the tones showing under the General settings in iTunes pref's
thats where you will find them!
Also I do believe you were asking about iPhone apps there is also an option to
show them in the pref's if you have not already!

I don't know how I did it, but I somehow got it to the desktop. I think I
copied and pasted it from finder.
