We got our new iPad (3? whatever it is) on Friday and we've been testing this weekend.
1. It has a faster processor and the results are clearly evident on the performance of VoiceOver which is quicker and (it seems) more accurate). 2. The camera is greatly improved. That, combined with the faster processor is turning out to have exceptionally good capture results with Digit-Eyes. We are catching bar codes at distances that we've previously been unable to achieve and the speed of the processor really makes the app fast! 3. The camera does not have flash. This is, we feel a negative, although it seems to be quite good in low light conditions. 4. The zoom feature and the excellence of the display made this (for me) a very good magnifier. Using it in camera mode, I was able to easily expand small text to be comfortably readable. This is certainly going to be very useful for folks with low vision. All in all, it is an excellent product! As a result, we'll be releasing Digit-Eyes officially for this version of the iPad sometime in the next couple of weeks. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
