Hello everyone,
I have used the Olympus DM 520 with great success.
It does use voice guidance. It also does use rechargeable batteries, which
takes four hours to recharge when plugged into the computer.
At the time of purchase, I was able to buy the recorder for $171 from
Amazon several years

how much of the menu system is accessible via the voice guidance voice? That
is, how much of the DM520 feature list can a blind person use with the voice
guidance assistance? Are there any functions that we can't access?

The only function it doesn't read is the file system information and the clock.

Hi May.
The Zoom H1 is an inexpensive recorder than the Olympus's are going to be. The
h1 is only $100, where as the Olympus's are going to be between #200 or higher.
Here's a link to the h1 om long and mcquade's site.
I'm just curious if the same thing couldn't be accomplished with an
iPhone or iPod Touch and an external microphone?

Does it speak the menus like the olympus recorders?
My olympus recorder is starting to give up the ghost!
I'am looking for options to replace it.
Do you use 1?
How easy is it?
