Maybe you have message headers set to none in your view options. Try
interacting with headers and pressing Option shift h to show all headers. It is
a toggle so you can hide them again afterwards.

Hi,
I'm wondering if your View settings say None within the Headers area of the
View pane of your Mail Prefs. The cmd-shift-h toggles between showing all
Header info and your preferred settings. This Header info has a few canned
levels as well as a Custom setting level. Check it out, maybe
Yes, that was the problem. Thanks for the tip!

No, those two controls are *all* I see in the headers group, and that plus the
text is all I see in the window aside from the standard system buttons and the
toolbar.

Hi,
When you cycle through the Message Header Group,
I decided to take a look around the message headers on my box and I could see
to whom the message was sent but I could not see the date nor could I find a
way to expand the full header fields like you can in other mail clients. Is
this just not available in Apple Mail or am I missing something
I think I figured it out. I don't know why, but your message sent me into the
menus. Apparently, cmd-shift-h shows all headers; interacting a couple times
will get you to a text field with an abundance of information, though you must
vo-arrow in it even though it is a standard text field. I saw
That's good to know. Funny how we discover additional shortcut keys out there.
I know for a fact that some of the standard apps do not always list their
shortcut keys in the help documentation.

That's why, when I open a new app or want to find a function, my first stop is
the menu bar. Vo always announces a hotkey if one is present, so I learn them
that way.

Hi all,
Is there a way to see to whom an email was sent when you get it? For instance,
if I get a message that someone replied to privately, but the thread started on
a mailing list, I would not know it was private unless I saw the to field. I
have looked in the message content area once I
Hi,
How are you reading the message? When moving through eMails, I press return on
the one I wish to read. Then, VO will read the message to me. I can stop
interacting with the message area then interact with the Header info and the
second line tells me who the message was sent to. Does
I also press enter, but all I see in the message headers group is a read
button, whose help tag is add to VIPs, and a read more link which does
nothing at all. Aside from the actual message text and the usual buttons, I see
nothing else.

As I said in another reply, this does not work. I see the headers group, but
inside it are two items: a read button which actually adds the sender to
VIPs, and a link which does nothing at all. There is nothing else whatsoever in
that group.

Hi,
When you cycle through the Message Header Group, does VO say Message Header
along with the Read and Read More button? If so, interact with that Message
Header area and you should get the info you're looking for. If not, let me
know and I'll do some testing to see if you've got something
