I was looking around for the command so that I can see all files in the finder
including /usr /etc ...
I have tried the following 4 commands in the terminal as root:
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
defaults writ

I want to shorten the verbage that vo announces when moving through the
files.
I unchecked show extention, but that had no effect. kind of weird.
