Great explanation Les. The only thing that I’d add, is that it only requires a
touch on the button, no need to press on it. If you wish to add a second
finger, go to System Preferences, Touch ID.

You will find the touch ID button at the very top right corner of the MacBook
Air. I think I’ll be referred to it as the power button which it might be, but
I haven’t had to use that button to start the machine. Basically what happens
is when you lift the lid you hear the start of so
