Re: Query re setting up a new Macbook Air from scratch using Voiceover?
That’s how I just did it with my new MacBook Pro, as Brad says, just open the lid and it will power up. Then voiceover will eventually start up on its own, if not press the function key plus the command key plus the FN five key and it will bring it up. Smooth sailing from there. Re: Query re setting up a new Macbook Air from scratch using Voiceover?
Hi Eleanor, Well, there are a lot of experts on this list, who will be able to provide you with lots of information. I will answer one question. To start voiceover when you turn on your Mac, hold down your command, key and type F5. The command key should be The first key to the left or right of your spacebar. That will at least get voiceover up and talking. Have fun with your new Mac. I’m sure you will enjoy it. It’s a very fast machine and works very well. Query re setting up a new Macbook Air from scratch using Voiceover?
Hi all Really hoping you guys can help me here with your collective expertese/experience. I have a new 2022 Macbook Air arriving tomorrow, which I’m very excited about, as I’ve been waiting and saving a long time for it. However, as it’s being delivered to my home it means that I’ve got to try to set it up myself from scratch using Voiceover. I’ve never done this myself before, so I’m really hoping that someone can reply to this message with some truly idiot-proof/step-by-step instructions that I can follow to set it up without making any catastrophic mistakes/crashing the machine before I’ve even got going!! I mean, for a start, how on earth do you even get Voiceover to come on when you first turn on the Mac so that you can set it all up? As you can see, I really do have no idea what I’m doing with this one. So any help/guidance anyone can give from the point of view of someone with no sight doing this really would be very much appreciated and most gratefully received. Thanks so much for any responses.
