Re: keyboard question about running windows on my mac

2017-03-17 Thread Jerry Mader
I have a question. Is there anyone who want to help me or is there any one who
wouldn't mind instructing me on how to install the virtual machine for Windows
on my Mac. I'm using VMware fusion and I'm using 7.5 I think. And I'm trying to
do the easy and strawberry never pops up. Is there anyone who wouldn't mind
helping me fix this because I do need windows on my machine so I can run
StationPlaylist studio on it and creator. They do not make a version of this
programs for the Mac. And I've even contacted the developer and he doesn't plan
on ever making any. So my question is what can I do. I've heard of crossover
does anyone know how well that works? As far as with voice over how old is
crossover work? Thanks. Jerry Mader

Re: IOS TV App

2017-03-17 Thread Scott Granados
I now the TV app is the replacement for the video app. It’s going to wrap up
your TV and videos and won loads all in one place. You can add providers to
this to reach other content and single sign on but that’s in it’s beginning
stages. Not sure on the regional nature of this though, since I only see US
providers I don’t know but then again my region is set to US.

Heads up, VMFusion 8.5.5 released

2017-03-17 Thread Scott Granados
Letting the group know that VMFusion 8.5.5 has been released. Simply start
your vm fusion application and accept the update. Seems to be working well and
includes many OS upgrades for the hardware interfaces among other things.

Good luck

IOS TV App

2017-03-17 Thread Simon Fogarty
HI List,

Got a crazy question for folks,

I've just setup a 5S iPhone with updated IOS version to 10.2.1 for work,

I noticed on the home screen when setting it up that there was an app called TV
which isn't showing on my 7+.

I just wondered if this is a regional based app such as I've set the region to
USA rather than NZ or if it's something new that we all should see with 10.2.1

I know there are some regional apps such as the News.

But the issue is that I have checked a couple of times and the region says it's
set for kiwiland (NZ).

Anyone got ideas and suggestions as to what this is and how does or should it
work.

Cheers,

Simon F

[no subject]

2017-03-17 Thread Jonathan Cohn
I am curious if anybody has found a place where the goto popup item
(vo-shift-j) actually works? I have often encountered auto-complete
windows popping up as indicated by new window, but I have never encountered
a place where VO-shift-J actually lets me navigate that item. I usually
have to do a window list and find the window marked as new.

This along with the pseudo scrolling features of vo-shift-S seem to be a
place where VoiceOver has designed good features that just don't work in
reality.
I understand that braille support is also half baked.

Mark has been effective recently in getting some needed accessibility into
applications on the iPhone perhaps the blind community needs to formulate a
prioritized list of VO issues that we are concerned about that could get
several 100 's signatures?

I am kinda just complaining about how difficult it was to do a search in
Microsoft Outlook, but except for the web, it seems no significant changes
to VoiceOver have occurred in the last several releases, and this is not
because of how complete a solution VoiceOVer is.

Best Wishes,

Jonathan Cohn
