I concur with E.T.. Abbyy Fine Reader is probably the best application for OS X so far as OCR goes. It is comparable to Kurtzweil 1000 for windows. There are quite a few options so far as OCR goes. Some of the apps are free, but most of those aren't very good. there are a couple in the app
