Well, there were a few machines in there I didn’t know about.
Honestly, to be a home computer, it had to be affordable and I doubt very much
that anyone would bother with a $95000 machine with less than 4 K of ram and an
old style magnetic memory core unit (weighing in at almost 1,000 pounds by

Hi,
If everything is in tip-top shape, the butterfly keyboard has less downward
motion to engage each letter as well as taking less effort to depress the key.
this should give the user the ability to type quicker and to have less errors.
Part of the issue is that many of us are used to using
Hi!
What’s so special about the butterfly keyboard.

Hi all,
Since I started messing around with dictation yesterday, I've noticed strange
behavior with navigating using Option-Arrow keys. Since yesterday, pressing
Option+Left/right Arrow no longer moves me back or forward a word. This only
happens when I'm in a field where I can enter text.
Hi, find the episode you want to mark as played then swipe up until you hear
details. When you double tap you should see a play button. It will also tell
you the length of the episode. Swipe up until you hear play then double tap.

Hello,
I want to convert some iTunes music to different formats using audio hijack.
My question is how to copy the tags from the existing files. Does audio hijack
do this or would I need to use applescript?

How funny. Strange that it would work better when enhanced dictation is off.
I'll give that a shot.

Now I can definitively confirm this behavior. Dictation is more
reliable when enhanced is off. When its on, yes, there is no indication
it stopped working.

Hi Tim,
Glad to hear that you're having success with dictation in the schools. If I
know it's working for someone, I'll keep messing around with it.

Hey Simon,
I've had my MacBook for almost a year now, and I'm still not a fan. I
definitely make more typos on this keyboard than I used to make. But as Tim
says, until there's new technology, I think that if we want a Mac, we're stuck
with the butterfly keyboard.

The new MBPs are so thin, I think they're stuck with some form of the butterfly
keyboard. But hopefully, you'll get an improved version of it.

Hi Jessica,
I've only played with this a bit, so my experience is limited, but it has
seemed to help if I continue to hold down the function key once I hear the
dictation chime.

Hi ET,
I also have enhanced dictation enabled. What I've noticed is it starts off
just fine. But then, after a few sentences, it just seems to stop working, and
I haven't been able to make it start working again in that document, once it
has stopped. It doesn't matter what the app or the
That's too bad. But I'm glad to know that I'm not doing something wrong (or at
least that others are having the same experience.)

Hi!
Yes that was really interesting.
I only remember the Comodor 64 but very interesting to read about all these
70’s computers.
Especially from 1974 when i was a baby.
