Re: Windows 10 1803 cboot camp ctrl pannel error

2019-05-23 Thread Oriol Gómez
the reason this happens is because bootcamp control panel doesn't yet
recognize the APFS mac volume.

so it thinks there is no OSX installed.

RE: Windows 10 1803 cboot camp ctrl pannel error

2019-05-23 Thread Simon Fogarty
Yeah 2 ways,

Firstly I'll say this is a known issue and it hacks me off also.
If you from start up hold down the option key for approx. 10 seconds it should
boot in to a list of all bootable devices on your machine.

Tab once and hit enter should give you mac os

The second option and the one I use but shouldn't is to at start up hold down
the command, option, r and p keys then hit the power button and keep holding
until the machine chimes twice
If it's a 2018 mac book then try holding it down for 30 seconds give take.

This should boot it into the mac os.

Dear List,

Under windows 10 v1803, the boot camp control pannel gives me the following
error when I choose to reboot into Mac Os 14.5:

Could not locate the OS X boot volume.

OK

Is there a way to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Hello,
you will probably need to shut down you windows side of the machine.
Then restart with Command R.
Then you can either arrow left or right to the windows or mac partition and
restart.
Or you can also, after entering into recovery mode, after a few minutes, hit
Commend F5 to start VO.
Then hit the Q for quit and follow the restart pormpts to get back into mac.

Re: edit mode in IOS

2019-05-23 Thread Petrus Tuerlings
That depends on how old your phone I? I can’t remember what model phone the 3D
Touch was introduced. That is where you can apply more pressure on the screen
to bring up more options. So there are extra menus under the info on the screen
and you apply extra pressure to bring them up. I’ve disabled this on my phone
as I was bringing up menus I didn’t want by pressing to hard when I was
frustrated. But you can achieve the same thing with a double tap and hold.
Hope this makes sense?

Hi,
I haven’t tried it to see if this would work, but I’ve tried it in other

Have you tried a 3D Touch or a double tap and hold on the second tap to see if

Just a thought,

Microsoft Outlook for iOS updated with revamped Apple Watch notifications, 9 to 5 Mac

2019-05-23 Thread M. Taylor
9 to 5 Mac - Monday, May 20, 2019 at 12:21 PM

Microsoft Outlook for iOS updated with revamped Apple Watch notifications

Earlier this month, Microsoft released a useful update to its Outlook app
for iOS with new Apple Watch Series 4 complications. Now, the company is
back with another Apple Watch-focused update, bringing redesigned
notifications for calendar events, emails, and reminders.

The new notifications allow you to quickly see email subject lines and
content from your Apple Watch.

You can also now see detailed event information through Apple Watch Outlook
calendar notifications.

Email notifications through Outlook also now vibrate on Apple Watch.

Here's the full change log from Microsoft for today's Outlook update on
Apple Watch:

Stay calm, cool, and collected with our improved Apple Watch notifications.
See important emails, reminders, and know where your next meeting is at a
glance.
Earlier this month, Microsoft updated Outlook for Apple Watch with new
complications for Apple Watch Series 4 users. The new complications are
designed specifically for the Infograph and Infograph Modular watch faces.
Last week's update also included notable speed and performance improvements
for Outlook on Apple Watch.

It's nice to see Microsoft giving Outlook some much-needed love on Apple
Watch, especially with today's new notification features. Microsoft Outlook
is available as a free download on the App Store.

Airplay confusion.

2019-05-23 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
I have 2 airport express devices in my Apartment.
One older and one of the newer ones.
When i get for example a call or want to ask siri about something and i am
connected to the older airport express the music interupts as it used to do
when connected to bouetooth.
But when i am connected to the newer airport express and do the same the music
continues to play like nothing has happend.
Also the newer express device is called something like multirout or something
like that.
Is this because the newer airport express has support for airplay 2?
If so then i have to try to find a refurbished one for my kitchen.
