Still mulling over the iPadOS news and am wondering what the major
differences are between the iPad mini and Air models. If anyone has used
both, please share your thoughts. Thanks.

RE: in store training?

2019-06-05 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Karen,

To find Apple in-store training sessions near you, do the following from an
iOS device:

1.
If you have not yet done so, download the Apple Store app. This app may
already be installed on your device but, if not, you may get it from the App
Store.

2.
Sign into the app and allow it to access your current location.

3.
Finally, select the, Sessions, tab, located near the bottom of the display
screen. A list of all upcoming training sessions in the Apple store,
nearest you, will be displayed.

Enjoy,

mark

Hi everyone,
I recall from another thread that one of our members does this in an Apple
store. what I am wondering is if there is a list somewhere of locations
that still provide the service? I may be mistaken, but not all of them do
these days correct?
Thanks,

What a shame we can’t do this on IOS, not that I have found a way anyway. I
don’t think they will introduce it in IOS lucky 13 either.

Hi all,

I was just wondering how I can change the way my emails are listed on my Mac?
At the moment I have the newest email at the top of the list and the older
emails at the bottom. I was thinking I’d try it the other way round but
couldn’t find where to change it. I did go in the mail Preferences and found
the view menu, and there was a check box that said something like show old
messages at the top tick box and it was not ticked. I am using modern view on
the native mail app on the Mac.

Re: Email view

2019-06-05 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Two ways. First make sure that you have the mailbox selected, no message
should be open, then go to the Messages menu, down to "sort By", then right
and down to Oldest at the top. Second method uses the menu right in the
Messages table. So, interact with the Messages table, press VO-shift-left (add
FN on a laptop), then VO-left once more. You should hear something about the
sort order and about enabling a filter. Interact with that area, VO-space on
the menu item and select "Oldest on Top". Note that in both cases, I'm
assuming that sort by date is already ticked.

Reading app-specific passwords on the Apple-id page

2019-06-05 Thread Daniel Gartmann

Hello,

I can’t figure out how how to read and copy an app specific password that I
created to put into Outlook for Windows.

I click on the Show History link, or that is the Danish text translated into
English since I am in Denmark.
I get the time and the label for when I created the password, but wwhen I
click on it, I can’t find the password to copy.

I am using JAWS with GoogleChrome.

Anybody had success doing that?

Thanks in advance.

Daniel

Hi List,

Has anyone actually seen a pricing structure for the new Mac Pro yet other than
it’s base model price?

I know what the price will be in the USA but I’m wanting to price the fully
spec’d version to see what the price in NZ will be.

Re: iPadOS

2019-06-05 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
I guess this depends on what embosser you have.
THe Index braille embossers do translate at their own without software.
So the brailetranslation is built-in.
Therefor i can use it without duxbury on the Mac.
But it needs a driver and i guess and hope that Index Braille will create one
for the IpadOs.

mac pro pricing

2019-06-05 Thread Simon Fogarty
Hi List,

Has anyone actually seen a pricing structure for the new Mac Pro yet other than
it's base model price?

I know what the price will be in the USA but I'm wanting to price the fully
spec'd version to see what the price in NZ will be.
