podcasts in Catalina

I don't know what to do with podcasts in Catalina. when I open the app it lands me on search. then I can right arrow along and get things like: Apple podcasts, listen now, browse, top charts, library etc. nothing at all happens when I try to interact with any of these things. I frequently hear:
