Try this, and see if this corrects the problem: 1. Go to System Preferences > Accessibility. 2. Select Speech from the Accessibility Features table. 3. Make sure all the boxes in this section are unchecked. Since you are using VoiceOver, you do not need to use any of these features. HTH.

Hello, Since you are a programmer I will be brief. The keyboard shortcuts in System Settings should override voiceover bindings. If this is the case, you could create a "service" ainautomator and assign a keybinding to it. My second idea is simpler but not the solution you asked for. SAVE
