callendar on a Mac

2022-04-16 Thread Lorie McCloud
I was trying to get the reminder about tomorrow being Easter Sunday to stop
popping up on my Mac and interrupting what I was doing. I ended up getting into
the control center and now it has no windows. I should mention that I was using
menu extras, the only way I know how to access things like that. how do I
straighten this out?

thanks.

If you have HomeBrew installed, you could install ImageMagick with
brew install imagemagick
and then look around the Web for an example of how to perform the exact
conversion that you need. ImageMagick has a lot of options.

Tim said he is using macOS Monterey version 12.4, which is a beta.
I am experiencing the issue as well and I am running Microsoft 365, but I am
running macOS Monterey 12.3.1, the public release.

Preserving configuration files under /etc across Mac OS upgrades

2022-04-16 Thread 'Jason White' via MacVisionaries
I edited /etc/pam.d/sudo to allow Touch ID to be used instead of a password
with the sudo command. However, this change is lost whenever the operating
system is upgraded.
Is there a way to make it persistent across upgrades?
I searched the Web but didn’t find any answers.

Hi,

I sometimes experienced a similar issue in other word processing application -
can’t remember which now. I think it may have something to do with the way the
text wraps in the window. Look in Ms Word settings to see if there’s an option
that says something like “wrap to window” that needs to be checked.

Good luck

OK, I opened a .docx document I created earlier today in TextEdit, using
Microsoft Word on my Mac, and I am experiencing the same issue that Gabe
 described earlier.

When I open the document, I hear VoiceOver say “one visible line”, and I
am also unable to navigate line by line, using either VoiceOver navigation
 or simple arrow key navigation.

I have made sure that QuickNav is not enabled.
I have tried interacting and un-interacting with the document area, and
still am not able to navigate line by line.

This is very strange behavior indeed.
