Re: Accessibility Of Ring app

2022-07-05 Thread Brad Snyder
The app is accessible.
You may need sighted assistance getting the device setup, but after that, you
should be good on your own.

Re: YouTube audio grabber

2022-07-05 Thread Phil Halton
I know what you mean Eric, I cut my teeth on the Commodore 64, writing assemble
language code on the 6502 chip. In fact, I got hold of one of the very first
commercially available synthesizes for the Commodore 64 and reverse engineer
that so I could write code that could directly access the synthesizer. That was
fun stuff. Losing the ability to use a computer was quite a transition. But, I
can still use the iPhone and frankly, it’s got all the power I need and it’s as
good as most any desktop.

Re: YouTube audio grabber

2022-07-05 Thread Eric Oyen
hehehe. I’ve been in computers since the Altair’s kit computer of the mid 70’s.
I haven’t stopped and am unlikely to right up to the point when they pry my
keyboard out of my cold dead hands. :)

I’ve managed to keep up with the technology, but some days I still scratch my
head wondering how many people even manage to use what they got now. Hardly
anyone learns about what happens under the hood anymore and simply becomes an
appliance user. Meh, what the hell, I’m an old hacker and probably always will
be one.
