Re: External Drive for Mac?

2022-11-09 Thread Eric Oyen
There shouldn’t be much difference between any of the external drives, although
some marketed specifically for apple users might have some hardware
optimizations (unsure on this, so don’t quote me on it). Now, most externals
work with USB and often work best with USB 3.0. There are some with the
Thunderbolt 2.x or 3.x capability and those are definitely faster on transfer
than any of the USB stuff.

In the end, it comes down to 3 choices: capacity, compatibility and price.

Selecting Next line or Previous line?

2022-11-09 Thread Fazil M.
Hi, Group.

I have read the following in a textbook:

"Select text going forward by line: Shift-Down Arrow

Select text going back by line: Shift-Up Arrow."

Shift+up arrow or Shift+down arrow are not selecting any text for me.

Am I doing something wrong or these commands aren't valid any more?

Thanks!

VOiceOver fluctuating in pitch after upgrading to Ventura

2022-11-09 Thread Dolores Manzino
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone was experiencing VoiceOver fluctuating in pitch after
updating to Ventura. I am and it’s really frustrating. It goes from low to
normal, and switching voices or adjusting pitch and intonation in VoiceOver
settings doesn’t seem to solve the problem. Right now the Fiona voice sounds
like a man, and it’s worse with Alex. Does anyone have any idea how to solve
this? I have an EMail into Apple Accessibility. Thank you for any assistance
you can provide.

Have a great day.

Dolores
