They can go to the phone. An ap like Dropbox will let you export to bard, and
Bard used to at least support direct transfer if the phone is plugged into the
computer.

available, just not accessible with Voiceover. Grab a sighted person to confirm
this.

Re: Dropbox

2023-04-19 Thread Brad Snyder
I don’t think Force Quitting is necessary.
I experience this frequently, and find that pressing CMD + Tab, to another app
will fix the issue.
If another app is not running then press VO + F1 twice, and select Finder > Go
to Desktop, to get out of Dropbox.

Re: Hide Apps in Mac App Store

2023-04-19 Thread 'E.T.' via MacVisionaries
Let me explain what I am talking about. Apple provides a way to
"hide"apps on Mac and iPhone. When one uninstalls an app that one
purchased from either app store, one can choose to remove them from the
lists of apps.

This is easy to do on the iPhone/iPad. The ability to do this on the
Mac IS available, just not accessible with Voiceover. Grab a sighted
person to confirm this.

They can go to the phone. An ap like Dropbox will let you export to bard, and
Bard used to at least support direct transfer if the phone is plugged into the
computer.

You can download the books zipped up on your Mac to play somewhere else, I
don’t know if they can go to the phone since this seems sort of redundant. But
if you are using players like the Stream, you might need to be sure that the
player knows to ignore the files that the Mac puts with them that start with an
underline. The older Stream 2 and Trek are ok but not the Stream 3 up to this
point. I’ve never tried with the NLS machines to see if those little files are
a problem there or not.

Re: Hide Apps in Mac App Store

2023-04-19 Thread 'Mary Ward' via MacVisionaries
I have a details section where all my apps are listed. I have to go into the
group where it says my name and it’s in there. This is a 2020 M1 running
Ventura 13.3.1. A couple levels of interaction, but it’s all there.

Hope this helps.

Re: Bard with the mack

2023-04-19 Thread Herbie Allen
Two options. If you have an M1 mac, it might be a Catolist app. I believe those
are under iPad app in the Mac App store. The other thing you can do is if you
have a newer Mac starting with 2018, you can find your Bard book on the Phone
with the Bard Mobile App and Airplay to your Mac.
