That's most likely an issue with your mail provider. can you log in via
their Web site or in another way?

Apple mail on Catalina works fine. What options do I have to correct
this on Sonoma? Thanks.

Try deleting the mail account from MacOS and entering the details again.

Mac Back from Shop

2024-04-11 Thread ancient.aliens via MacVisionaries
Hi all,
The Mac is working except for a couple things. The screen went bad while I
was doing a startup from Sonoma to Ventura. This apparently played havoc with
the process. The data on the Ventura volume seems ok. Would macOS recovery
possibly repair this? Thanks.

Re: I've paired my game control with my Mac, but nothing is picking it up.

2024-04-11 Thread Cara Quinn
Just to add my .02 here, I’ve reliably used Dual Sense (PS5) and XBox 1 and
Series X / S controllers wirelessly with Mac.

Occasionally the connection process via bluetooth can be a bit fiddly but once
connected, the Mac remembers the controllers and usually connects again without
a hassle.

Jessica, I’ve not used any third-party controllers so I can’t specifically
comment on that, however, I’d suggest getting a PS5 (dual sense) controller or
XBox controller specifically for series X or S if you can.

Joseph, regarding the issues with updating drivers, have you tried updating
your XBox controller directly through a console or via the XBox app on Windows?

Sorry I can’t be of more help to either of you. Best of luck though and please
do write back to the list with any progress you make on these issues. This may
help others as well.

Good luck and have a great day! :)

Cheers!

Cara

No, the headphone jack has not been removed from the M1 Mac mini. You will find
it on the back left-hand side of the unit. There's only one Jack and it handles
both input and output.
