question about pages and voiceover formatting
Good morning, I was working in pages last evening with a document which has 2 equally spaced columns on the page. However instead of saying column 1 and column 2, voiceover says page 1 and page 2. How does one tell the difference between that and say a 2 page document with just one column. also how does one announce the font size and attributes in pages. thanks rick -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups MacVisionaries group. In general I find things are more likely to just play on the Mac than on the PC, and I like the rewind, fast forward etc features in the built in player in Safari. Word Processing: Unless you use styled word documents or need to use word tables, even Text Edit, the built in word processor, will do much of what you want, and if not, Open Office Writer is great for creating documents, if not for reading them, and there are other free word processors that have many features. I haven't bought i\work at all. Spreadsheets: Open Office Calc is free and would be easier for you to learn to use than a modern version of Excel as it still uses menus, unlike the other! Internet: Pros and cons here, it really depends how you use the internet. In general, I can do the vast majority of things I could in JAWS. Many tasks are much easier, some a little more keystroke intensive or at least finger intensive, but there are plenty of sites that are vastly superior in Safari, particularly anything with dynamic content, something Windows users seem to moan about a lot, but Mac users don't, because it works so much better for us!
