I would add, consider the sources.
as noted below, those sending false e-mails, bugs, etc., are getting more
and more sophisticated.
Especially as your e-mail address becomes a part of public records.
If you have a spam filtering program, use it on the e-mail if possible
before removing it.
I'd treat this as spam and delete it straightaway. Spammers are
constantly developing new ways to ensnare the unwary.

Either, it is an HTML message which only has graphics (the text is a graphic),
or the email is a scam if the message is completely unrelated to the subject
matter.
