I don't see what this has to do with anything. I put the watch on in the morning, and I take it off at night. As long as it stays on my wrist, it remains unlocked. I certainly don't use Apple Pay while I'm sleeping. - Brad - On Mar 7, 2024, at 11:29, 'Janina Sajka' via MacVisionaries wrote:

Brad: I want to focus on one phrase in your email: "Unless you take the watch off for some reason." How literally do I take that? Do you sleep with it on? Shower? I cannot see myself playing piano with a watch on. It never worked in the past, and I can't imagine I'd be comfortable wearing a

I don’t remember now what caused me to always be entering a password. But it’s good to know it isn’t supposed to work that way. I’ll try setting it up again with the option of unlocking with the phone, and see how it goes. Cheers, Donna > On Mar 7, 2024, at 9:12 AM, Brad Snyder wrote: > >

I’ve had an Apple Watch since the first watch was released in april 2015, and have only ever been required to unlock the watch once after putting it on, either by using the passcode on the watch, or by unlocking the iPhone to which the watch is paired. Unless you take the watch off for some

Oh, thanks, Brad. This is helpful. I may give it a try. Back in the day, I remember that it seemed like I had to enter the passcode a lot. But that was a long time ago. I did not have it set up to unlock with my phone, which makes a ton of sense. Cheers, Donna > On Mar 7, 2024, at 9:01 AM,

You should not be required to enter a password on your watch every time you check the time. You need to unlock your watch after you put it on, and you are good until you take the watch off. Unlocking your watch can be done by entering the passcode on the watch, or unlocking your iPhone. I have

Oh, that is very convenient. Not sure it would be worth putting a password on my watch, though. I had one for a while, but got tired of having to enter it every time I wanted to check the time. :) Cheers, Donna > On Mar 7, 2024, at 8:32 AM, Brad Snyder wrote: > > Your Apple Watch is

Your Apple Watch is unlocked in advance. This is either done through entering a passcode on your watch or unlocking your iPhone if you have that feature enable. This suffices for authentication. No further authentication is needed at time of transaction. Just hold your watch up to the terminal,

You don’t need a pass word or authentication. I think the reason for that is that When you put the watch on you need to enter the password, so that takes care of the authorization. > On Mar 7, 2024, at 6:06 AM, 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries > wrote: > > Hi all, > > Related to our

Hi all, Related to our discussion about Apple Pay, I’m curious about how it works on the watch. It seems like it would be super convenient to just hold your wrist up to the reader, except that you can’t authenticate with face or Touch ID. So do you then have to enter your password every
