The dropbox folder is usually within your home folder. I wouldn't even
mess with the side bar here. Press command+shift+h to open your home
folder, then open the drop box folder in the usual way.

issues. I rarely need to access this service on menu extras, almost
always I get what I need from accessing its folder in the Finder.
Perhaps uninstalling the app and reinstalling it will cure whatever
anomaly exists.
