Hi, All:

Please pardon what's probably the OT, but I am going to be in Manhattan
starting Thursday, and I expect to use taxis quite a bit, along with
perhaps an Uber or Lift or two.

No concerns about Uber, but several about how to use the accessible
payment kiosk mounted in front of the right side passenger seat in the
back of New York cabs. I haven't been able to find a good howto to read
in advance, and being in the moment is often fraught with distractions.

So, if anyone can give me a quick pointer or two about how to use a
credit card, or even my phone (perhaps over NFC?), I'd be grateful. For
instance, where and how does one insert one's credit card? Is it a swipe
kind of thing? Or an insert and wait for the beep beep?

Any pointers greatly appreciated!

Janina
