Yes, it seems to be. At the very least, vo-space on a recipient should start
the process, but it doesn't. Please do email them about this.

Not sure if I can help, but touch anywhere on the status bar on iPad, swipe up
with three fingers to open Control Centre, double tap Airdrop.
