Thanks, Anne,

I feel better at least knowing someone with an SE has been able to
read the info. Does it make any difference if you hold the phone

Mary, I did try your trick of turning the phone over so the camera was
face-up, but that hasn’t helped so far. But thanks for the suggestion,
I never thought of trying that!

Re: Seeing AI And Bar Codes on iPhone SE

2018-10-29 Thread Mary Otten
Hi Pete,
I can’t answer about the iPhone SE in barcodes, although I don’t see why you
shouldn’t be able to read them. What I will say is that I have had extremely
variable luck with the reading of barcodes on my iPhone 7 Plus. Sometimes I
will get those towns and then the different towns that indicate that the
barcode is being processed, followed by the results of the processing. Other
times, no matter what I do, all I get are the beeps. I don’t know why. It’s
great when it works in very frustrating when it doesn’t. Smile. I have better
luck when I placed the phone on a level surface with a camera facing up, and
then manipulate the item whose barcode I am trying to read.
