Cheree Heppe here: We are having similar problems with VoiceOver and speech rates. Using the Australian female voice, where the IOS8 type rate ran at 30 to 35 as normal rate, the IOS9 speech rate runs around 50 and above. Who is tweeking these accessibility settings, anyway? This looks a lot

Hi Mary. What you could do to fix this is go to settings, general, accessibility, Voiceover, speech, and beside the languages you have in your rotor there should be a more info button. Double tap that and there should be a slider that lets you set speech rate inside that language. Do that for

I just upgraded the iPad to iOS 9 and reinstalled the Russian voice. I also installed the mail Siri enhanced voice. Experimenting around, it would seem that both of these voices are speaking much more slowly than they should based on the speech rate that is set invoice over interestingly
