I doenloaded desktop facebook from the app store and it was useless. I haven't
tried any others. that one just happened to be a featured app when I went into
the store for something else.

The Facebook cliant is pretty much okay. It's actually better than using the
mobile site via the Mac itself. That's because of the changes they've made to
the site.
