Re: notes app and evernote

2016-03-02 Thread Alex Hall
When are you hearing it? I keep all my hours worked, and notes about each day,
in Notes. So far, I've not had any problem with this beyond hearing "body" when
I first land on the note field. I'm just trying to get an idea of how often it
happens to you, and under what circumstances, so I can try to reproduce it.

Alex, that did not work. Thanks though because I never knew about that
verbosity command. I still learned something new. :)

I don't know anything about Evernote, but I know that the Notes app on my
iPhone has become more of a friend due to the remind me of this command in
Siri. Do you guys know of a better way not to forget about the notes that
you write?

Subject: notes app and evernote

Hello,

On my mac I used to find the notes app to be just fine for quickly jotting
down notes, especially from phone calls. Now when I use it I constantly hear
voice Over saying “body, body, body” and I find this extremely annoying.
This is very frustrating when I am navigating through notes to review or
find information from my notes. I know voice Over is just announcing the
style of my text but is there any way to make voice Over stop doing this? It’s
making it very difficult to review my notes.

As a side thought, is EverNote voice Over friendly on the mac or iOS? Maybe
I should switch to a different app for taking notes? It’s just so quick, or
at least it used to be quick to take notes on my Mac or iPhone, especially
if I use Siri to create a note for me. Does EverNote have a mac app or just
a web interface. I don’t know anything much about EverNote other than a lot
of people use it.

BTW, I am using El Capitan.

Thanks,
Christina

I'm not at my Mac to try this, but have you adjusted your verbosity? Hit vo-v,
right or left arrow to Verbosity, and up or down arrow to medium or low. See if
that helps.
