I experience the same issue. Mostly pressing Capslock ones works better if this
is set as the VO key.

twice or thrice, it starts to work normally again.

Yeah, that's how it used to work. But it doesn't any more. When I press it,
my Mac just goes right on blabbing.

pause, when you press it it can it will resume speaking.

Hi all,
Time was when pressing the control key would stop speech on the Mac, but that
hasn't worked for a long time. I assume this has to do with the way speech is
buffered, but it's very annoying, especially when I need to stop speech
quickly. Anyone know of another way to do this, or a
