Subject: word processing question

Hello folks,
Just want to get people’s opinions on what word processor is best for the mac.
Trying to learn pages, but am familiar with word a little more, and I need to
write papers for a class in grad school. How is the current state of
accessibility for microsoft office on the mac? Just curious to see what others
are using for word processing.
Brian

Re: word processing question

2016-06-30 Thread Paul Mimms
Office 2016 for Mac is accessible. I won't say it's perfect, but it is very
usable, and that you access made the features you were used to when you were
working with windows. I used interchangeably with pages, depending out what I
need to do.

When going the extra mile, you never run into a traffic jam!

Re: word processing question

2016-06-30 Thread Kimber Gardner
There's a very in depth and understandable book about using Pages on the Mac.
The author is Ann Robertson. I believe the book is available at Jonathan
Mosen's web site. Sorry, but my brain isn't giving me the title right now. But
if you go to the site I'm sure you will find the info.

I hope this helps.

Re: A basic word processing question

2009-09-28 Thread Chris Blouch

I haven't noticed a reply to this yet. In Open Office there are three
main regions. The toolbars at the top, scroll are which has the document
and then a footer with general info at the bottom. In that footer the
first item should read page X / Y which tells you you are on page X and
that there are Y pages in the document.

To set line spacing you can use the Paragraph setting from the Format
menu. Under the indents spacing panel towards the end is a Spacing
popup menu which just reads 'dimmed' as you arrow through it. But VO-A
will read the current setting so you can switch it from single to 1.5 or
double spacing (along with a few others).

Hope this helps.
