Hello All,

I think I’ve mentioned this in a previous post but one aspect of Kindle
books that I have been using more and more, is the feature to seamlessly
switch between the live narration of a title and the text of that same
title, directly from within the Kindle app.

If you have not yet explored this feature of the Kindle app, give it a try.
I think you will be pleased.

I recently started reading one of Stephen King’s latest novels called Fairy
Tale. This is not a horror story. If anything, it is a fairy tale for
adults.

I strongly recommend that you give this book a try because never in my
adult life have I ever come across a mainstream story in which people with
real-life disabilities are portrayed in such heroic and equal measure as
their non-disabled counterparts.

I am about 50% through the story. Up to this point, other than some slight
profanity, there are no descriptions of sex or any quote, adult, quote,
content.

There is a long history as to why Stephen King possesses the ability to
write about people with disabilities in such exciting and yet realistic
pros but I’ll let you discover the answer to that, on your own, if you so
choose.

It is so very refreshing to become immersed in a story where people with
disabilities are treated as equals and not as people who have super human
powers who can, for example, in the case of a blind person, distinguish
someone across a room by the rhythm of his heartbeat and respiration rate.
I’ve actually had highly educated professionals, ask me if such a thing is
true based on something they read about on the net or saw in some movie.

Regardless of whatever book you choose, happy reading.

Mark
