Hi Jurgen,

I really appreciate your response. I’ll check out the image thing and the
media thing before I buy. :). Again, thank you!

Hi Donna,

sorry for the delayed response.

MarsEdit works really great for blind users. I know you can add images to your
posts. While preparing a new post there’s a lable saying "Featured Image“.
There you can load a video to your post.

I unfortunately don’t know how you can link this video in the post. I’ve never
dealt with videos. So Marsedit might not fulfill your needs. I might have been
wrong here. Sorry.

All the best
Jürgen

 Hi again, all,

I want to create a vlog where I can post written and video content
while I am traveling this summer. Anyone know anything about the most
accessible way to do this? I know a lot of people like Wordpress, but
in my very limited experience, it did not seem overly accessible, or
overly friendly if you don’t know how to code. If I’m wrong about
this, feel free to enlighten me. 😊

Can anyone compare Wordpress with Blogger in terms of how they work
with VO on both MacOS and IOS? I’m envisioning something pretty
simple and straight-forward. I’d just like to be able to upload
written and video content to a site, and have a link that I can share
with family and friends who want to follow along with our adventures,
so hopefully there’s away to do that that isn’t super complicated and
 that is accessible.

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

Ah, that’s very cool! The block thing in Wordpress kinda hurts my head. Lol.
Can you also add video, or does it only work with written content?

Mars edit makes it possible to avoid using blocks. You can just type as if you
were editing a word document and then publish right to your blog. I have not
tried pcreating or publishing pages yet but for blogs it is great. I understand
that it also will work with Mastodon now. But I have not figured that out yet
either.

Hi Merv,

Can you say more? What specifically do you love? Also, how do you work with
the block design in WordPress? It seems like it would be very intuitive if you
can see and figure out how to arrange the blocks, but I’m not sure how to work
with that if you can’t visually arrange them.

I thought about using something like What’s App or even Facebook, but I like
the vlog idea better. First, everything can just be housed there. That will
be convenient for anyone who wants to look at it, but not necessarily receive

Re: Any vloggers here?

2024-03-15 Thread Jürgen Fleger
Hi Donna,

Word Press is pretty accessible in my opinion. I use Mars as an app solution on
the Mac to upload content. So it's not necessary to work online.

But wouldn't it be easier in your case to use a messenger like Whats App and
create a family group? Just as an idea.

all the best
Jurgen

Any vloggers here?

2024-03-15 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Hi again, all,

I want to create a vlog where I can post written and video content while I am
traveling this summer. Anyone know anything about the most accessible way to
do this? I know a lot of people like Wordpress, but in my very limited
experience, it did not seem overly accessible, or overly friendly if you don’t
know how to code. If I’m wrong about this, feel free to enlighten me. 😊

Can anyone compare Wordpress with Blogger in terms of how they work with VO on
both MacOS and IOS? I’m envisioning something pretty simple and
straight-forward. I’d just like to be able to upload written and video content
to a site, and have a link that I can share with family and friends who want to
follow along with our adventures, so hopefully there’s away to do that that
isn’t super complicated and that is accessible.

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.
Cheers,
Donna
