No, that’s to far,

Three finger double tap is a mute vo completely,

We’re talking here of just stopping vo speaking like the ctrl key on a notebook.
As someone said it’s a two finger touch.

   No, what the OP wanted was to stop or resume VO speaking, which is 
not the same as muting it. So the 2 finger tap is correct.
