HI,

 Not a big fan of Podcasting and besides the differences between el cap and 
sierra  are pretty much the spelling of the name.

Thanks for the clearity.  I wish someone would do an updated install

installer to install the drive it should work then.  I am planing erasing the

 When you install the OS on your machine as a new installation 
That process also sets up an installation recovery partition as part of the 
process.

 As for everytime a sierra update comes out you don't have to make or create a 
new / updated USB installer  the Sierra update will / can be updated to your 
machine through either the software updates or the applications store.

Really easy way to do this is use the terminal from within your mac os,
 So long as you have the installation package in your applications folder  you 
just write the command 
 Sudo 
/Applications/Install|MacOS|Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/Createinstallationmedia
 --volume /Volume/USB-Device --applicationpath 
/Applications/Install|MacOS|Sierrra.app
