If you have a trusted number set up you should be able to have a text with a 6 digit code sent to your trusted number. Hi, This can also happen if KeyChain is enabled in your iCloud services. Using iCloud from System Preferences on your Mac, you can reset this security code and ensure that it is enabled on your Mac as well. Later... This is probably triggered by 2 factor authentication, not 2 step barification. Do you still have your old device? That’s probably where it sent it. Or what about your iCloud security code?
