Re: Android was Re: Braille input with hands on an I phone podcast?

2016-09-19 Thread Scott Granados
Google TTS has had some performance problems in the past but the thing with
voices is it’s also very subjective. What sounds great to me may sound awful
to you. I would try other voices though if on android if you’re having
performance problems.

on Braille output. I’d like to use it but the dots are not in the same
place as I don’t know how to calibrate the dots and can you chord i.e. do
all the six finger combinations as you do on a perkins? Does Android have
this method? Just curious. Never used Android as when I heard it a long

You know, this is interesting. I actually find the Swedish google voice to be
quite bloody good, it’s the only modern Swedish voice that actually to a
certain extent can be multilingual however, i wonder if it’s the google voice
that’s choppy when used out and about with a bluetooth headset.

I totally agree with you on the voices. I have eloquence on my droid device
and enjoy that a lot. Much more open on the voice side than Apple. It’s nice
that individual manufacturers can create their own TTS engines for android and
you can simply install them.
